While some individuals argue that students have the right to choose what they wear, opponents contend that wearing uniforms should be mandated. I wholeheartedly support the latter and I will provide three compelling reasons in this essay.

To begin with, wearing uniforms minimizes distractions and helps students maintain better focus on their academic performance. It is undeniable that primary goals of students are to learn, discover and explore different knowledge during school. If they pay too much attention on their appearance, the importance of their assignment or coursework may be overlooked. With this measure, the possibility of inappropriate clothes is less likely to appear in campus since students have to wear uniforms instead of their own styles.

Moreover, school security is another prominent issue that needs consideration. Students wearing uniforms serve as symbolic of the school, making it easier for security guards to recognize the students’ identification. To be specific, malicious individuals and criminals have difficulties to invade the campus if they wear normal clothes.

Last but not least, wearing uniforms fosters a sense of honor and a feeling of belonging to school. For instance, sometimes students are proud of themselves if they are in a prestigious institution, which means that their hardworking, persistence and intelligence in academic exams.
